Last week, students brought home an introductory letter to the Lexia Learning program that we've been using at school. The great news is that families can use this resource at home as well. Home use is not required, but the program is a powerful tool and a fun learning activity for those who are interested. When using the program at home, you may help your student by clarifying instructions and/or explaining concepts that they may not understand. But please keep in mind that the program is gathering data according to your student's responses and performance. Customized lessons and activities are crafted at their specific level and according to their specific needs. For this reason, we ask that students complete the activities independently rather than getting help with the answers. If you notice that your student is struggling with a concept, feel free to give extra practice and coaching that's outside of your student's Lexia time.
