Emergency lesson plans
These lesson plans would be used in a type of emergency that might shut down the school but in which students would be required to learn from home. The teacher will send this link to parents if these lesson plans ever need to be used by families.
Spelling
Spelling
- Practice phonograms 1-26 by using the "Spalding Education International" phonogram app.
- Choose 15 of those phonograms and practice writing them on a piece of paper after saying them.
Math
- Practice the Doubles Rap (doubles math facts)
- Practice the Adding Zero math facts: 1+0, 2+0, 3+0, 4+0, 5+0, 6+0, 7+0, 8+0, 9+0
Writing & Reading
- Listen to a story. Use this YouTube read-aloud ("Never Play Music Right Next to the Zoo") or choose your own book from home.
- Tell me about the story by writing 1-2 sentences. Possible ideas: Tell me about the characters, the setting, or the plot.
- Draw a picture that matches your sentence(s).
