Hi! My name is Mrs. Jensen and I’m the AM kindergarten aide. This is my 3rd year as an aide at TECS and I absolutely love it! Playing with our kindergarten friends at recess is one of my favorite parts! I started bringing my children here 10 years ago; 2 of them are still here and the other 2 are in high school. A few of my favorite things are rain, reading, baking (and eating!) homemade bread, Disney movies and spending time with my husband and kids (especially while camping and playing games). I’m so excited to get to know each of you! Hello! I’m Mrs. Condie, our P.M. kindergarten aide! I love kindergarteners and I love Mrs. Hadsell! This will be my 7th year as a kindergarten class aide at Thomas Edison. My own 5 kids have grown up in this school and some of them have even gone to kindergarten in our classroom! I love reading good books, traveling with my family, and eating chocolate and peanut butter together! I look forward to making new kindergarten friends this year and playing with you on our playground! Thanks for signing up to volunteer. Here are some need-to-know details.

There's simply no better way to learn the basics about the Spalding program and be better equipped to help students at home. This course provides an overview of The Spalding Method® so that parents and children can work together to support classroom instruction. Helping at home accelerates children's learning and enables parents to keep track of school progress. Reading is the foundation of all learning, and the first step to reading is learning that words are made of up sounds (phonograms).
The purpose of the Parent Spalding course is to provide parents with the knowledge and skills necessary to support classroom instruction of The Spalding Method®. The course will teach parents to: 1. Say and write the 70 phonograms. 2. Use the phonograms to say and write high-frequency words. 3. Apply spelling and language rules and concepts. 4. Model reading words for spelling and for reading. Interested in signing up? Contact the front office for more details. Every student who places a book order by the end of September gets a FREE copy of "Clifford the Big Red Dog: Big Red School."
