Hello! My name is Karli Pruhs, and I will be Student Teaching in your child’s class with Mrs. Hadsell for the next few months. I am currently a student at Utah State University, Go Aggies! I have been working towards a dual major in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. This spring I will graduate with my teaching degree. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City. I love everything Utah has to offer. In my free time, I enjoy being outside. This includes skiing, hiking, and paddle boarding. For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to be a teacher. Moving to Logan was the best decision because I have been able to learn at a great school and be a part of a great community. As part of my Student Teaching process, I am required by the State to participate in the Pedagogical Performance Assessment for Teachers (PPAT). This is a new program that has been created to measure a teacher candidates’ ability to provide contextual information and documentation of my time spent in your child’s classroom. With your permission, part of that requirement will include videos of myself teaching and documentation of the students work. None of your child’s personal information or school will be disclosed. Attached to this letter, is a permission form that has additional information. I would greatly appreciate it if you can sign and return it, which will allow me to complete the requirements for my teaching license. By signing the form, it will greatly help me! I have already spent a few days in Mrs. Hadsell’s classroom and felt such a warm welcome from your child. This fall is going to be an explosion of learning both for the students and myself! I am so excited to be teaching your child! I cannot wait to get to know your child even more. Sincerely, Ms. Pruhs Grab a copy for just $1. This deal expires on Monday, September 6th at 11:59 pm.
