My name is Jennifer Bailey, and I am thrilled to be student teaching in your child's classroom this fall with Mrs. Hadsell. I am a senior at Utah State University working towards a dual major in Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education. I will graduate in Spring 2020 after completing my student teaching in the Child Development Lab on campus.
As a student teacher, I will be working closely with Mrs. Hadsell to plan and prepare lessons to teach to the class, both in small and large groups. Before working in Mrs. Hadsell's classroom, I have worked in various other schools, both supporting and teaching lessons in first and third grade.
This past spring, I completed my course work for struggling readers. I tutored a first-grade student where I planned individualized lessons and conducted pre and post-assessments of the students' needs. I look forward to supporting your child as they grow, learn, and progress.
I grew up in Cache Valley and have lived here most of my life. I am proud to say I am a former Kindergarten Aide at Thomas Edison South with five years of experience. I love and support the curriculum and values of the school. I have two children, Jonathon, (25) and his sweet wife, Mali, and Emalee (16). Emalee is currently a Jr. at Mountain Crest, and she attended Thomas Edison South K-8th grade. I love to go camping and enjoy reading and watching Emalee play soccer.
I'm excited to work with your child this semester. My goal as a professional educator is to instill a love for learning in my students and make sure everyone feels welcomed, respected, and safe. I hope to be an example of a life-long learner. Please do not hesitate to stop in, call, or email me. I welcome the opportunity to get to know you along with your child.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Bailey
